Spagoes prefers you are familiar in the theory of the anatomy of the nail, nail diseases, disorders, special treatments and repairs for nails along with the physiology of the muscles and circulatory system of the foot and hand and how it can affect the nail. Manicure and Pedicure techniques are beyond industry standard.
You should be familiar with the background theory necessary for skin care and the practical application of manual facial treatments and all the necessary elements and types of facials. This includes the product knowledge that is the basis for all treatments. Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry for Estheticians, Physiology and Histology of the Skin, Skin Disorders/Diseases and Skin Analysis.

Massage Therapist
Education Requirements: You are required to obtain a diploma in Massage Therapy of no less than 1000 hours of education. Your training should include and not be limited to the following areas of training.
Massage Theory & Technique
Effects, uses and contraindications to Therapeutic Massage. Hands-on techniques for full-body massage routines.
Advanced Massage Techniques
Theory of musculoskeletal pathology, and specialized techniques for treating general musculoskeletal conditions.
Assessment of Musculoskeletal Disorders
Thorough case history and interview taking, charting and physical examination skills including range of motion, muscle testing, plumbline analysis, gait analysis, and orthopedic tests.
Human Relations & Communications
Principles of human relations and interpersonal communication skills needed to facilitate the massage therapist/client relationship.
Hydrotherapy
Theory behind hot and cold applications. Therapeutic hydrotherapy applications that overlap with spa applications.
Therapeutic Exercise
A foundation for rehabilitation through understanding of exercise. Principles of strengthening and stretching. Hands on techniques for passive stretches of individual muscles as well as preparation of home care recommendations for the patient.
Systems Anatomy & Physiology
Detailed structure and function of all the systems of the human body.
Pathology
Common conditions that affect any level of organization in the body. Implications for treating clients with these conditions.
Contractor or Consultant:
Choose a contract position with Spagoes to work when you want, how much you want and be in control of your future earnings.
Choose a Consultant role with Spagoes and be prepared to start your own mobile spa business.
Spagoes offers you the opportunity to start your own business using the Spagoes systems, products and support of the management team. We encourage you to purchase your start up kit for a minimal cost and then receive bookings from the head office.
